Posted on September 30, 2024

The Southern Youth Foundation (SYF), comprising the southern states of Nigeria, has launched a campaign against the planned nationwide 20-day protest scheduled to take place in southern states from October 2024.

The campaign, powered by the Office of the National President of SYF, aims to educate and enlighten the public on the potential consequences of the protest and to promote peaceful resolution of conflicts.

Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, National President Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, called on youths to shun the protest.

According to a statement by the SYF, the planned protest is unnecessary and may lead to unrest, violence, and economic disruption in the region.

“The Southern Youth Foundation is committed to promoting peace, stability, and development in the southern states of Nigeria,” said the National President of SYF. “We believe that the planned protest is not in the best interest of our region and may cause more harm than good.”

The SYF has called on all stakeholders, including youth groups, community leaders, and government officials, to join hands in promoting peace and stability in the region.
