Southwest Para-Athletics Championship: In Lagos, We’re Creating Platform For Persons With Disabilities – Olawale Etti

The Chairman, Lagos State Para-Athletics Association, Rafiu Olawale Etti, has promised that the leadership of the association would not relent on its oars in creating an enabling environment for the para-athletes to unleash their potentials.

He made the statement while receiving the athletes at the mainbowl of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos State.

He said, “It is just to create an enabling platform for people living with a disability. We want them to come together and make themselves happy, feel among and to show that they are also important in the society”.

“People living with disabilities are also talented, coming up with this kind of initiative would go a long way in bringing out the best in them”.

He further disclosed that in the history of sports in Nigeria, Para-Athletes make the country proud by bringing laurels from the international Competitions, adding that giving them the platform.
