Spiritual Is Spiritual ➖ Hon. Bede Must Secure A Second Tenure On The Altar Of Hypocrisy

MAZI EJIMOFOR OPARA

I must repeat for the umpteenth time that the Apostolic and Political calling are two separate ministries that cannot be mixed. This is not because there are no persons with apostolic mien in politics or vice-versa, no. For even amongst the twelve, there was a Judas. It then behoves on pure breeds in each of these vocations to stand as sentinel indicators to the ideal type specification of either the political ministry or the Apostolic ministry. It is quite disheartening that certain persons cloak themselves in unfitting apparel that defy the basic tenets of their supposed calling.

Many like me, have refused to be deluded by the deceitful garbs of persons who have hidden under the nomenclature of apostolic anointing. People who attach high sounding spiritual titles to their names, yet are consumed by the trajectories of corrupt temporal life. The accidental ordination of most people into the Apostolic mission appears as faulty as the unclean foundation of their original sins. Such that when they yield their fruits it taste more sour than the cruelest of iniquity. How then do we justify the faith in Christ that is the fulcrum of our salvation?

The usual irritation that comes with knowing these things is enough to wet the pen of any concerned writer. Politicians do so much in their quest for political power, including but not limited to spiritual recognizance. The form this takes is largely dependent on one’s creed and faith. I do not subscribe to the demonization of any form of faith, unless that which hampers the growth and progress of humanity. That said, you can choose to be a Traditional juju worshipper, as long as it satisfies your spiritual cravings, i wish you well. What I detest is the unwholesome amalgamation of gods and faith which our Evangelist Bede Eke has desperately resorted to.

Just yesterday, Oga Bede summoned 8 PDP ward Chairmen at the residence of Emma Nworgu, from where they proceeded to Golden Crown Hotel, Owerri. This meeting turned out to be an “Oath taking” session, under the watchful supervision of Mr Kizito Onuoha,  the PDP zonal Secretary, with Mr Blessing Njoku (PDP ward 4) as the Chief Oath Administrator. One of the Chairmen (names withheld) who later revealed this to me lamented the gross act and registered his disappointment at an Evagelist Bede Eke, whom he thought was a changed man. The oath was, however, administered on these Chairman, making it compulsory that they must support the Candidacy of Bede Eke or risk dire spiritual consequences; after which our Evangelist Legislator handed them a cash inducement of thirty thousand naira (30,000) each.

Another round of oath taking will be conducted today at a yet to be disclosed venue. This time, on some Local government Chairmen.

Take it or leave it, the purported “new creation” of Hon Bede Eke is only a subterfuge, an attempt to bury his horrible antecedents. Anyways, spiritual is spiritual. However, hypocrisy is a cardinal sin
