Star Actress, Toyin Abraham Inks Multimillion Naira Deal With Checkers Custard Brand

Nollywood star actress, Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi has been unveiled as the first official brand ambassador for the popular Checkers Custard brand.

The actress was unveiled at a recent special media event to welcome her to the Checkers Custard family held at the company’s head office in Mushin, Lagos, Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Karan Checker, Managing Director, Checkers Africa Limited, said the signing of the brand ambassadorial deal marks a historic point in the life of Nigeria’s favourite custard brand, Checkers Custard.

“I say because Checkers Custard, a mere dream at a point, turned to reality, and on this day, another dream materializes in the physical, as we are greatly honoured to have the graceful presence of our dearest and loving favourite actress, film producer, influencer and mother, Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi, as the very first full brand ambassador for Checkers Custard,” Mr. Karan said.

According to the boss of the fast-growing FCMG outfit, he said the brand settled for Toyin because she has shared brand values with Checkers Custard coupled with her “illustrious and blossoming career that has spanned more than a decade, with unmistaken passion, and excellent delivery in every of her appearances that has swooned millions upon millions of Nigerians (at home and in the Diaspora, Africa and the world over.”

Karan added; “both Toyin and Checkers brand have a story of the shared values of Best quality custard, a pace setter brand while Toyin is a best, quality actress and a daring brand; Checkers has a 3-in-1 various flavours of vanilla, banana and milk, and more surprising variants coming into the market soon while Toyin is comedic, dramatic and all round, excellent and ambitious acting talent with her next blockbuster coming soon; and lastly, Checkers is a silky smoothest, creamiest and tastiest family custard brand in Nigeria and other lands across the borders and seas while Toyin is a loveliest, most adored (all over Nigeria and beyond), mother and wife. Also commenting on the ambassadorial deal, the award-winning actress appreciated the Checkers for considering her as the first brand ambassador just as she confirmed that she actually reached out to the brand first.

“Checkers Custard is the best family food. I reached out to them first because my family and I take the custard every morning and I don’t get to see it often. I promise the management that I will do my best, not as a brand ambassador but as a family. I would love checkers to keep to their promise to keep enriching customers.”

Toyin has written and produced many films besides being a cast member. Her versatility could be gleaned from her class acts in Alakada, The Ghost & The Tout series; Prophetess, Hakkunde, Elevator Baby, Tatu and Okafor’s Law. 

Toyin, a darling of other top brands, is married to fellow actor, Kola Ajeyemi.
