A 47-year old suspected ritualist, Taiwo Yemitan, who was arrested in Ogun State for the alleged gruesome murder of a young girl for ritual purposes, has revealed that the victim was murdered for him to sell her body parts and gave the prices of human parts.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect,  Taiwo, confessed to the Police that he alongside his twin brother,  Kehinde Yemitan, now at large, had killed many victims, cut their bodies into parts and sold them to their clients for various prices.
The serial killer, Taiwo, revealed the financial incentives driving their barbaric acts by listing the prices of human parts which they cut to sell to their clients.
“We sell regular body parts for N20,000, hands, N50, limbs for N50,000, leg for N50,000, Head for N100,000 while the heart goes for N100,000 and other parts for different amounts” the suspect disclosed.
Police operatives from the Ogun State Command arrested the suspect and detained him at the State Command in Abeokuta, where he revealed the details of their crimes as serial killers.
The suspect, Taiwo, revealed that they orchestrated the abduction and killing of their latest victim, Darasimi. He also revealed he was arrested while attempting to sell the victim’s head for N100,000.
Taiwo and Kehinde Yemitan shocked their community, as twins, they have brought disgrace, leading a criminal syndicate involved in kidnapping, murder, and the dismemberment of victims, whose body parts were sold for rituals and magical wealth-attracting soaps.
They pretended to be working carpenters and herbalists, unknown to the community that they were kidnappers, murderers and human parts dealers until the killing of the most recent victim, Darasimi.
The suspects allegedly lured the victim to their hideout in the Premier area of Abeokuta under false pretenses, where they killed and mutilated her body to sell the parts for ritualistic purposes.
However,  they ran out of luck as the  Ogun State Police Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, apprehended Taiwo and an accomplice named Kazeem on 22nd December, 2024. But his twin brother, Kehinde, evaded capture and remains at large.
The Police Public Relations Officer,  CSP Omolola Odutola,  confirmed the incident and stated that the twin brothers deceived Darasimi, a sex worker, into visiting their home, where they carried out the crime.
The case highlights the disturbing prevalence of ritual killings in Nigeria and the current need for law enforcement efforts to fight such evil act.
The suspects will be charged before Court for their alleged criminal conduct but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
