S*x Starved Man, 45, Batters Wife Over Children’s Feeding

A 45-year old man, Ugochukwu Obi, has displayed his boxing prowess on his wife, Chidinma Obi, by raining blows on her for asking for money for their children’s feeding after denying him sex in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Borno Way, Ebute Metta East, Lagos, where they reside with their two children.

The man has been arrested by the Police.

According to Police sources, the man, Ugochukwu, had been quarrelling with his wife, Chidinma, to the extent she no longer allowed him to touch her talk less of sleeping together.

Trouble was said to have started when the wife demanded for money for children’s feeding and Ugochukwu became angry that the wife, who do not allow him to touch her, had the gut to ask for money from him.

He reportedly grabbed her, rained fist blows on him, injured her right eye and she sustained other serious injury on the body in the process.

The matter was reported to the Police at Ilupeju Police Division and Ugochukwu was arrested. After thorough interrogation and being found culpable, he was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for assault.
He was also charged for failure to provide for the upkeep of his two children, Chiemerie, 3 and Grace, 16 months, against child rights act.

He pleaded not guilty. 

The prosecutor, Olubunni Adeitan, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove he actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O A. Layinka, granted Ugochukwu bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum. He was however, remanded in custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.

The matter was adjourned till the next available new date for hearing due to backlog of cases occasioned by the recent Judicial strike.
