Police operatives from Igando Division have started manhunt for a sex worker who reportedly engaged a man in several rounds of sex and the man died in the process in a popular hotel in Lagos.
It was a tragic end for the 46-year old Bassey Asuquo, who reportedly slumped and died on top of an unidentified commercial sex worker, after an overnight sex romp in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at a popular hotel, known as TinuBola Bar and Restaurant, located along Old Akesan Road, Egan, Igando area of Lagos State, on the eve of Friday 31st July, 2020.
What actually landed the sex worker in trouble was the manner in which she sneaked out from the hotel after she discovered that the man had died on top of her during the romp in order to avoid arrest.
The man’s death attracted a mammoth crowd, which thronged in their numbers to have a glimpse of the dead, who was later identified as a pharmacist in the area. It took the intervention of the Police operatives from Igando Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, CSP Taiwo Kasumu, to disperse the tumultuous crowd before the deceased was evacuated to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
It was also learnt that TinuBola Hotel is notorious as commercial sex workers abode, with beehive of prostitution activities going on in the place even during the Covid-19 lockdown and the eventual escalation of the pandemic.
P.M.EXPRESS Correspondent further gathered that the dead pharmacist, who had made name in the area on his penchant for alcoholism, womanizing and cigarette smoking, was found dead with a packet of cigarette, an inhaler and a sperm stained boxer short.
The unmarried pharmacist, Bassey, who had checked into the hotel on Thursday evening after consumption of reasonable quantity of alcohol and cigarettes, was said to be Asthmatic. His alleged attempt to have early morning sex may have caused his death at about 7am, as the “killer” prostitute, who immediately escaped, was said to have told the Hotel Manager over the telephone, how Bassey was gasping for air while rushing to grab his Asthma inhaler from the table, before he eventually gave up the ghost.
As at the time of filing this report, the deceased father was making frantic efforts to be allowed to carry his dead son’s corpse, even as Igando Police Division was said to have held the Hotel Manager and security guard in custody for useful information, while the case was said to have been transferred to the Homicide Unit at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti ,Yaba, Lagos, for discreet investigation.
