Zinox Group, a leading computer hardware manufacturing, and ICT integration company led by Nigerian tech tycoon Leo Stan Ekeh, has successfully secured a landmark agreement worth $184.7 million with the Nigerian federal government.

The contract entails the provision of advanced technology components and essential accessories for the upcoming 2023 National Census Project.

The highly lucrative contract, worth N85 billion ($184.7 million), was awarded to Zinox by the federal government through the National Population Commission following its ratification by the Federal Executive Council.

The company’s outstanding performance and technical expertise earned it the coveted title of the preferred technical partner for the upcoming national census.

This was the result of an intense and competitive bidding process, which pitted Zinox against other local and international contenders.

Ekeh, chairman of Zinox Group, emphasized the significance of the partnership with the government and stressed that the success of any nation lies in having accurate and credible data.

He stated that Zinox is equipped with a track record of integrity and excellence, both in Nigeria and on a global scale, and is poised to provide the best possible solution for the upcoming census.

The recent collaboration between Ekeh’s group and the federal government builds upon a long-standing partnership, having previously revolutionized the election process in Nigeria through the implementation of the Direct Data Capture machines and the card reader technology.

These innovations have significantly improved the accuracy of the nation’s voter registry and strengthened the credibility of the electoral process in recent years.

In accordance with its recent agreement with the Nigerian government, Zinox announced that it has initiated the supply of the initial shipment of 100,000 Personal Digital Assistant devices, which will be utilized in the nationwide census.

The company also hosted a distinguished delegation of NPC commissioners and management, led by Chairman Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra, during which the first 100,000 units of these cutting-edge digital devices were formally presented to the commission.

Ekeh, a visionary entrepreneur, established Zinox Group in 2001 as a pioneer in West Africa’s computer manufacturing and information and communications technology solutions.

Over the years, Zinox has grown into a key player in Nigeria’s tech industry and a dominant force in African e-commerce, with one of its subsidiaries, Konga, being one of the largest online retail platforms in the country.
