The Influence Of Focus

Posted on March 13, 2023
Man is inherently fine tuned to think in the direction of his focus, which influences his actions and determines the productive usage of his time. Man is equipped to see through two different mediums. We see physically in a small scale through our optical eyes and see farther and wider imaginatively through our minds.
The mind is the greatest asset in determining the strength of our outputs on earth. Those who see clearly through their minds do not stumble in their journeys through life. Steven never needed optical sight to add the precious accolade of Wonder to his name, STEVEN WONDER. His mind sight led him to the arena of STARDOM. Whereas, there are men with clear eye sights, who can identify the tiniest variation of colours, but ignorantly lack the knowledge to see positively through their minds, as such, remain victims of frustration.
What you treasure is naturally registered in your conscious mind. The contents of your mind form the colours of your pursuits. What you value magnets your focus, while the direction you channel your focus naturally secures the attention of your creativity and efforts.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”, asserted in one of the ancient manuals of life, called The Bible.
In leadership, same thing is applicable. If your focus is to serve the people, your creativity and efforts will naturally function towards midwifing solutions that will guarantee the well being of the people. But if you treasure the looting of public treasures, you will pressure your mind to function towards creating criminal means in order to avariciously grab what belongs to the general public for your selfish gains.
It is appallingly obvious that the corrupt political settings in Africa encourages the embezzlement of public funds, as it requires huge amount of money to win elections. And no serious penalty for corrupt public office holders is in view, except against some perceived opposition to the power that be. This corrupt position drives the people in power to keep stealing public funds as they aspire to further their political ambitions. In their struggles for power, they would apply the farmer’s principle of sowing little to reap more. Viz, Sowing money to reap more money.
The leadership in Africa is never about service to the people. Rather, it is all about exploiting the people, facilitating more loop holes for foreign oppressors to remain their favorite. On this ground of laissez-passer granted to foreign extortionists to have free access to our resources , foreign powers would turn blind eyes to the atrocities committed by African political elites against African citizens.
Virtually all the African political actors’ mindsets are focused on their personal gains. Waiting for them to solve the problems in  Africa equals waiting to board a ship at the airport. Keep pushing to redirect the FOCUS of our leadership settings and follow the course against all odds until it is successful. FOCUS!
