The Solution In The Health Sector

Posted on March 7, 2023

In the People’s Manifesto, Governor Soludo outlined his sectoral strategic plan and covenanted with Ndi Anambra that his administration will bring about a liveable and prosperous homeland.

In the Health sector, the APGA government of Anambra State under the leadership of Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has scored some wins in less than one year in office.

First is the recruitment of 300 Health workers — Doctors and Nurses — to end the era of Hospitals without Doctors or Nurses. Currently, the Soludo administration has set a pilot “Telemedicine Hub” in Awkuzu, Oyi LGA. Here, Ndi Anambra can have access to top-notch medical consultancy from Specialists from any part of the world. This is futuristic!

Gov. Soludo has built a New Oxygen plant in Onitsha to buffer the one in Awka set up by the previous APGA led government. The Soludo Government has also provided a mammography machine in Onitsha. Currently, there is “Free Cervical Cancer Screening, Testing and Treatment” for women of Anambra State. So far, over 2000 women have benefited.

The rehabilitation of the Enugwu Ukwu and Umueri General Hospitals is ongoing, and the foundation for the construction of a brand new general hospital in Okpoko has been laid, to be completed in the next 12 months.

APGA means well…
