The Type Of Candidate APC Needs For Anambra 2025

*Politics will always be a game of numbers, since it is a people thing and requires the animal called man to decide who gets what, when and how?*
Therefore, it cannot be different for Ndi Anambra, particularly a party such as Anambra APC that has struggled repeatedly to occupy the biggest position in Anambra to no avail, that is Government House Agu Awka! Since 2010, whether it be as the Action Congress or the APC , the APC like *Arsenal FC* has always boasted about winning Agu Awka, even on its best days only to lose out to weaker parties as well as to the combined tagteam of subterfuge and treachery.
This time around the *Basil Ejidike* led APC smarting from such string of loses is indeed desirous of edging APGA and other would be contenders including the self acclaimed APC 2 ( *A remnant of the social club led by our dear leader)* , how it survives the coming polls will be based on who flys it’s ticket and nothing more! Nothing can be further from the truth.
The APC will be needing a brand to turn it’s fortunes around, it will need a Household name, a name that will immediately call many to arms and excite the average voter, whether they be young, middle aged or old. The party cannot afford to haggle in the voters market with some hurriedly festooned aspirants, that will be the party’s biggest mistake yet again.
This brand must have been tested and proven to be one brand of repute and not one that cannot dance Adowa to Nya Asem Hwe, or break dance to Kool and the Gang’s ‘ *Get Down On It’* he or she must have tested the murky waters of politics and fished out of such votes and repeated victories.
The brand must have met the demands of the *loyalty* *equation* ? How has such a brand fared with his equals, subordinates and party members, whether it was in APC or in other platforms, how did such persons treat these people? Like lackeys or like partners? Like peasants or like friends? These are questions begging for answers and the answers my friends are blowing all over Anambra! Will this brand *Nye ndi eba na nde* *eba* or will this brand bear its non avuncular hauteur nature and near sadism on all?
Party members who are tired of this long wait for Zion’s train must ask themselves these salient questions, as we near everyday the days set for such an unraveling we must be wary of the snake oil salesmen who are hell-bent on marketing a near disaster as a plausible candidate!
