Transfer: Buruj FC’s Top 6 Talents To Jet Out To Europe

All is set as top rated six players of Buruj Football Club will be jetting out to Europe ahead of the winter transfer which opens in January.

Waheed Salaudeen, the CEO of Buruj FC disclosed that Ubong Samson, Faruq Ogunbiyi, Habeeb Ayobami, Quadri Garuba, Sola Abimbola and Edet Inyang have their travel papers and will be leaving the shores of the country for Europe in December ahead of the winter 2025 transfer window, which will be opening on the 1st of January 2025.

He said the players have been able to distinguish themselves in different trials and will be heading to their respective clubs in December.

Waheed revealed that the club striker, Samson Ubong, had a successful trial at Berja CF in Spain during the last summer transfer window and he has been given a pre-contract, which will be activated in January, 2025 winter transfer window.

He made this disclosure when quizzed on the transfer update on the Ubong Samson, who went on trial with Berja CF of Spain during last summer transfer window.

Waheed Salaudeen replied: “Ubong had a successful trial with Berja CF of Spain and signed a pre-contract, which will be active from January.”

“He is due to return to Berja CF Spain in December, and we are happy with his career developments.”

The shrewd football administrator used the occasion to speak on the progress of other top talents in the Buruj FC.

“We have been working hard ahead of the 2025 winter transfer winter and as am I speaking Faruq Ogunbiyi, Habeeb Ayobami, Quadri Garuba, Sola Abimbola and the captain of the team, Edet Inyang, will be leaving the country for Europe in December. They have been able to distinguish themselves in different trials and their destinations will be revealed when due” Waheed Salaudeen said.

Farouk Ogunbiyi plays in the heart of the defence as a central defender. He is cool headed and very intelligent ball playing defender, who modelled after former Super Eagles defender, Uche “Gentle Giant” Okechukwu.

His ability to switch play and play as a defensive midfielder gives an added advantage.

Habeeb Ayobami is an utility player. A very creative team player that can play in the defence , wing backs and as well as on the wings. midfield and attack.

Quadri Garuba is a naturally gifted left footer, he has a knack for Goal scoring which his stronger left foot gives him advantage in front goals. He scored Buruj FC first in the 2024 Nationwide League One, NLO against BYT FC at the Maracana Stadium in Lagos.

Sola Abimbola is a dependable right back defender. A good marker of the ball. Sola asset is his ability to deliver perfect crosses into the opposition box.

Edet Inyang, the captain of Buruj FC, recorded lots of rave reviews in the 2024 NLO with his eye catching saves and reflexes.

The former national U20 invitee has paid his dues in playing in the amateur ranks, he is due for the big stage as he has all it takes to succeed playing football at the top.
