One of Nigeria’s wave making gospel artistes in the United Kingdom, Sophia Godwin a.k.a Sophy-Yah has something interestingly laudable for soul winners to embrace.
The drop dead beauty who was the cynosure of all eyes at the recently concluded Panache Global Entertainment Awards, UK where she was honoured with the prestigious ‘’Outstanding Achievement In Music and Community Support awards is set to drop a new single, Come and See.
The new single, according to the talented R&B/ Gospel diva, is one of the soul-anointing songs in her forthcoming album that will be released on Friday, 18 November.
“Come and See is a special number and a thanksgiving song that would reflect God’s goodness and the promises of what HE can do to better our challenging situations,” she said.
The multi award-winning singer, who gave her life to Christ when she was just 13, has touched many lives with her spiritual messages across churches, Christian seminars, as well as ministering to lost souls with a view to conquering the world with Good News.
Her musical prowess, dynamism and impressive track records as an international artiste must have informed the reason she was chosen to join the selected-few of velvet-voiced choir team that recorded the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC theme song, ‘First Step’ during the 2012 Olympics in London.
As if that’s not enough, the soul singer has shared platforms with notable gospel stars such as Chevelle Franklin, Noel Robinson, Bob Fit, Original, King Arthur, Madelene Kerzner, Sonnie Badu to mention a few.
Sophy-Yah’s management has also concluded arrangements for the release of the single and be available for download on SoundCloud and other online music sites.
The talented gospel songstress will also be having an album listening party as soon as everything is completed.
Sophy-Yah is presently the music ambassador for the renowned London based female Christian organization, International Women of Power-IWoP.
