Angry parents have ordered for the arrested and prosecution of a 16-year old boy for allegedly engaging and molesting their three-year old daughter by penetrating her private part with his finger in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that this happened after the boy admitted that he only used his finger to penetrate the little girl, which angered the victim’s parents the more as they demanded for his prosecution for his alleged conduct against their daughter.
The incident happened on 6th May, 2025, at Muslims Estate, Ayobo Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the boy lured the victim and molested her by inserting his finger into her private part before the information leaked to the victim’s parents.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the Lagos State Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After rounds of interrogation at the Gender Section, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, David Fagbohungbe ‘m’, on the 6th day of May, 2025, at Muslims Estate, Ayobo Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did exually assault one girl, ‘f 3years old by penetrating her vagina with your finger and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 261 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to refer the case to the DPP for legal advice because of the nature of the matter.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered his remand in the Juvenile Center and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice while the matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
