USA Yoruba Oba Oyetunji In Nigeria To Celebrate Oba of Shasha’s Anniversary

United States of America Yoruba monarch, Oba Ogunjobi Adejuyigbe Adefunmi, the king of Oyetunji village in Southern Carolina has arrived Nigeria to felicitate with the Oba of Shasha, HRM, Oba Babatunde Ogunronbi on his five years anniversary on the throne.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Oba Oyetunji and his wife including his entourage were received by the Shasha monarch at his Palace over the weekend.

The event attracted the leaders of various ethnic groups living in Shasha kingdom and beyond who came to the Palace to receive and welcome Oba Oyetunji.

Oba Ogunronbi thanked the visiting monarch for finding time to come to Nigeria to visit him.

He also commended him for promoting African culture, particularly Yoruba culture in far away USA.

He promise to work with him and share ideals on how to promote and preserve African culture and tradition for good of the people.

Oba Oyetunji in the same vein thanked Oba Ogunronbi for warmly receiving him even though it was the first time they were meeting face to face.

He said he will continue to promote African by extension Yoruba culture in USA.

He said there are many opportunity in his Oyetunji kingdom in Carolina, USA and need investors from Africa to come to the place to develop the area for the promotion of Yoruba culture.

The event which will starts from 12 May and end on 21 May, 2017 involved series of events to make it colourful.

Such events include visiting the orphanage homes, free medical treatment and awards to befitting individuals and organizations who have imparted on the development of Shasha Kingdom.
