Uzodimma’s Administration Remains One Of The Best In The History Of Imo State

BEN AHANONU

Dear Dr Fabian Ihekweme,

Of late, you have been so vocal and consistent in your self-imposed mission to take on the Governor and government of Imo State with wild speculations, spurious claims, name calling and more.

You have called the Governor names like “Diaspora Governor,” “Anti Christ,” “King Ahab,” “Con man,” “fraudster, “Governor in absentia,” “guy man” and more but Governor Uzodimma, in his distinguished disposition as a true leader, remains calm and composed. In fact, he has been behaving like our Lord Jesus Christ when the real anti-Christ, labelled him a blasphemer, and accused him of offences he never committed just like you (Ihekweme) are doing. Jesus Christ maintained a studied silence because he knew that his detractors didn’t know what they were doing just like you, Fabian Ihekweme … honestly you are like those Jews, Judas Iscariot, Pontius Pilate and more but Governor Uzodimma has said: “Leave him, for he does not know what he is doing.”

Governor Uzodimma has even directed that no one should use swear words against you or call you names because you do not know what you are doing and I must obey the Governor’s instructions. He said we should stick with the facts.

Dear Dr Fabian Ihekweme, in line with the Governor’s directive I will not call you names here or use swear words against you because that will also be antithetical to the tenets of Public Interest Disclosure, PID.

Fabian Ihekweme, I appreciate your passion for the good of Imo State, whether it is altruistic or for self-aggrandizement, will be a matter for another day but I want you to understand that the Governor of Imo State does not see you as an enemy rather he sees you as a citizen engaging in civic activism and it is allowed in every true democracy. However, civic activism follows responsible and non-partisan process quite unlike what you are doing and it must be factual.

Governor Uzodimma also is not afraid of criticism even when it is negative, subjective, vindictive, unconstructive, malicious, wicked and unproductive because he has no skeleton in the cupboard and nothing to hide.

Ihekweme, you have the right to freedom of expression but you must demonstrate enough maturity to make it constructive then it will be useful and match with civic activism otherwise it can be described as premeditated campaign of calumny, inspired by hate, ignorance and unspeakable grudge. You have displayed so much scarecrow themes like helplessness and vulnerability, which presupposes that you need a therapist.

Ihekweme, you have been so loud and vociferous about local government funds of late, dishing out figures, accusing the Governor of seizing local government funds but which is not true and it has been so strident that Imo people are now suspicious of the genuineness of your noise.

It might interest you to know that upon assumption of office and in his first speech to Imo people as Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, disclosed that he has a covenant with God Almighty. He said: “God has done His part, now it is my turn to fulfill my part of the covenant by offering Imo people good and transparent leadership” – that he has been doing fervently and it does not matter the subjective criticism and acrimonious inclination of spineless and clueless opposition, opportunists, fake puritans, who see nothing good in any government they are not part of or benefitting from.

Let me assure Imo people that Governor Uzodimma is not pocketing the local government funds – Never. There are plans to fully implement the One Kindred One Business/Project Initiative (OKOBI) of his Shared Prosperity Administration in every community in Imo State.

Imo people should consider, the incredible economic, industrial and business development gains that will accrue from such. Indeed, happy days are here again and Governor Uzodimma will shock and silence many of his haters and detractors because he believes that actions speak louder than words.

Come to think of it, why would Uzodimma hijack funds meant for the development of his State? It is crazy for anyone to insinuate or write about such nonsense because the local government areas are microcosms of the State. They are not detached from the State instead they are meant to work in harmony with the State Government for best results and they also need supervision just like the federal government does to the States. In terms of security, the local government areas cannot do much without the support of the State government (even with all the money in this world at their disposal) and one should not forget that the Governor is the chief security officer of the State. Therefore the much ado, much noise about local government funds should stop.

Ihekweme, you have also accused Governor Uzodimma of inflating contract amount for his personal gains, reeling out strange figures to the misguided few that believe your disinformation.

Interestingly, your case is like that of Donald Trump, who made fake claims about electoral fraud in the United States (US) following his defeat by Biden in 2020 but had no evidence to substantiate his claims.
He then succeeded in causing insurrection that claimed lives and almost disrupted the established smooth transition of the US electoral process but that will not happen in Imo State.

In law, the burden of proof is usually on the person who brings a claim in a dispute. Therefore Fabian Ihekweme, you are expected to prove your claims with verifiable and unadulterated evidence otherwise you are on a despicable jamboree and clout chasing exercise.

I know that Imo State has only one administrative capital – Owerri and not Orlu. Meanwhile, Uzodimma as the Governor of Imo State cannot embark on building another government house in Orlu, which is entirely unconstitutional. Now, Imo people can see how desperate, callous and reckless Fabian Ihekweme PhD can be in his futile efforts to misinform, deceive and set Imo people on the warpath with the government but he will never succeed.

To those moles in government house and official circles that have been feeding Ihekweme with fake information – I say, you are so ungrateful and more desperate than Shakespeare’s Brutus and Biblical Judas Iscariot but be sure that your days are numbered as the Almighty God will surely expose all of you shortly.

My fellow Imo citizens, let me state categorically that three years is not three days and in three years time, Uzodimma will fix it. Therefore, let us keep hope alive because the best is yet to come.

I can go on and on folks because the oil, the peak and cerebral competence is in me however, I just want to be brief.

May God Almighty continue to bless Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma and the good people of Imo State. We are blessed people.

I am Hon. Prince Ben AHANONU.
