We’re Hired To Kill Victims For Rituals, Says Suspected Robber

A 22-year old suspected murderer and armed robber, Ayinla Azeez aka Quick Killer  has confessed that he has killed many people for rituals for their clients who were mainly native doctors and influential people in the society.

The suspect was the leader of a 10-man notorious criminal gang arrested at a hideout recently in Ijede, Ikorodu, Lagos by the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS led by CSP Ahmed Sanusi and detained at the State Police Command headquarters at Ikeja, Lagos.

Other identified members of the notorious gang are Yinka Balogun, 20; Peter Oluwasegun, 32; Omolaja Oluwafemi, 29; Godday Samuel, 19; and Dennis Ifeanyi, 34.

The rest are Odubanjo Akeem, 35; Damilola Ogunbadero, 20; Dayo Tedunjaiye, 23; and 27-year-old Ogunsanya Yusuf.

They all confessed to being members of Aiye Confraternity.

One locally-made revolver with five rounds of live ammunition, one locally-made cut-to-size double-barrelled gun, one locally-made cut-to-size single-barrelled gun, two locally-made single-barrelled pistols with three live cartridges, and one axe were recovered from them.

It was gathered that $49,500 and €6,000 were recovered from some of the suspects while fake £1,500 was seized.

Apart from killing people for rituals, Azeez also confessed that his gang participated in armed robbery and other societal vices.

“Let me tell the truth, I have killed innocent people during robbery operations aside being hired and paid to kill victims for rituals,” he allegedly confessed.

P.M.EXPRESS learnt that Azeez revealed their procedures for killing victims for rituals which the gang have mastered them over time reason different clients engaged them regularly.

He revealed that he was nicknamed ‘Quick Killer’ by his gang members because it did not take him time to kill victims.

He said their clients comprised of native doctors, traditional rulers and other influential people who regularly needed their services.

Azeez confessed that whenever there was no ritual killing job for them, they usually sustained themselves with robbery and had carried out several operations within and outside Lagos.

The suspect, who hails from Osun State but resides in Lagos with his parents, said he started stealing from the age of 12.

He said he started stealing phones, laptops and snatching bags and as he grow in age and experience, he graduated to a hardened criminal with the assistance of some friends.

Azeez explained that the locally made pistol recovered from his home was sold to him for N50,000 by a friend who was released from Kirikiri prison and needed money to settle down.

He claimed that he was not set out to become a criminal but frustration and hunger to get rich quick made him to go into criminality as a means of livelihood.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped from police source that the suspects will soon be charged to court as he was still detained at the police cell at the Police Headquarters at Ikeja, Lagos.
