Why APC Suspended Ginika Tor Indefinitely

Posted on March 26, 2024

These are certainly not the best of times for Ginika Tor, who represents Enugu State in the Federal Character Commission.

On Tuesday, 19th March, 2024, Tor’s indefinite suspension by the Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was ratified by the South East Zonal chapter of the party.

Before that, Mrs. Tor has been suspended by the Enugu State chapter.

Tor has been described as over ambitious and causing rift within the Enugu State chapter of the party.

She was accused of misconduct, anti-party activities and attempt to create a parallel State Exco for the party.

The Enugu State chapter received two petitions against her, which were referred to the Disciplinary Committee headed by Victor Cheifine. The committee investigated the claims on the petition and found her guilty and an indefinite suspension was recommended.

The recommendation was ratified by the State Exco and the South East Exco was duly informed.

On Tuesday, 19th March, 2024, the South East Zonal Vice Chairman of the party, Dr Ijeoma Arodiogbu, announced that the recommendation of the State Exco has been ratified and Tor remains suspended from the party indefinitely.
