The House of Representatives aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Hon Uchenna Okafor a.k.a Wiper, has terminated the appointment of Mr Chidiebere Obika as Director of Media/Publicity (Communication) to the Aspirant over alleged recklessness and insubordination.
The termination of appointment was contained in a letter addressed to Mr Obika on Tuesday and delivered by Wiper to Obika.
The letter read in part: “I write to inform you my displeasure over your conduct with respect to the performance of your duties wherein there has been manifest recklessness and insubordination.
“As this trend can no longer be tolerated, I regret to inform you that your service as Director of Media/Publicity for My Campaign Organization, is no more required and your appointment is hereby terminated.”
“Accordingly, I am to request that you take necessary steps to hand over all campaign materials in your possession to Mr Ifeanyi Igboelina, the newly appointed Head of Media. Thank you for your cooperation,” the letter read.
Recall that Mr. Obika got his hands burnt on Monday when he penned and published on the social and online media a scathing article purporting that APGA Oyi LGA had endorsed Wiper at a Stakeholders meeting last Sunday.
The false report got his principal infuriated as he wondered why his media Director would be projecting him as a candidate imposed on the party. Wiper had earlier told the press that he detested politics of imposition, and would not be a beneficiary of such evil plot.
He said “APGA lost to PDP in 2019 Federal House of Representatives election because the party imposed Ekene Enefe on the people. I don’t play the super imposition card. I’m not a consensus candidate. I’m ready for the primary election. I’m not afraid”.
Obika eventually had pulled down the publications from his Facebook page and tendered a letter of apology to Hon Uchenna Okafor Wiper.
