Woman Beats Co-Male Tenant To Stupor

A 30-year old woman, Loveth Ihugo has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly battering her co-male tenant, Chado Emeh during a fight between them in their house in Lagos State, Nigeria.
The incident happened on 19 September, 2016 at 8 Rafiu Yusuf street in Ikotun, Lagos where they reside.
P.M. EXPRESS gathered that Emeh was brutally assaulted by Ihugo to the extent that he unconscious and was admitted to a hospital for treatment for several days.
According to police source, the duo had disagreement and hot exchange of words in their compound which resulted in both engaging in physical fighting.
In the process, Ihugo reportedly rained fist blows on Emeh and he fell down and became unconscious.
She attempted to escape but other tenants prevented her and forced her to carry Emeh who laid on the floor fainted.
She then with the help of others tenants hired a taxi and rushed him to a hospital where he was revived and treated.
The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun division who arrested Ihugo and took her to the station.
She was charged to court where she is facing a one count of assault on Emeh under the Criminal Code.
At the Isolo Magistrate’s court where she was arraigned,she pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.K. Shonubi granted Ihugo bail in the sum of N30,000 with one surety in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 14 October 2016.
