A 54-year old man, Festus Uduigwome, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly engaging his 8-month old baby in sex and was caught in the act by his wife.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Rasaq Balogun Street, Surulere area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to Police, the suspect removed the victim’s pants and forcefully inserted his dick into her private part in order to satisfy his sexual desires despite the fact that he was married and lives with his wife.
However, while he was in the act, his wife caught him and checked the victim’s private part only to discover that he had injured and defiled her in the process.
The wife went to the Police at Bode Thomas Division and reported the conduct. He was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the Lagos State Police Command for interrogation over the alleged conduct.
After investigation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the nature of the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka, ordered his remand in custody and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 30th April, 2024, for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
