World Press Photo Winner, Sodiq Adelakun Joins Jury For 2024 Contest

Channels TV Senior Photo Editor and global visual journalist, Sodiq Adelakun, has been selected as a member of jury for the 2024 World Press Photo contest.
The World Press Photo is a Netherlands-based non-profit organization committed to awarding the best of photojournalism and documentary photography stories around the world and they have been running for over 68 years.
Adelakun will join the African jury out of the six continental body of juries which consist of five members each, to review this year’s submissions and select the winning photographs and stories shot in Africa before been presented to a global jury.
The judging process takes place in several rounds, over six weeks, in January and February 2024. It involves regional juries and a global jury, and will take place both online and offline.
“I’m honored to have this opportunity to represent my country, most especially Africa in such a time where impactful visual journalism needs to be resuscitated for budding visual journalist” the former Punch Newspaper Photojournalist said.
