Youngster Raheem Salaudeen Takes Major Leap As He Departs For Europe

Posted on November 8, 2025

Nigeria’s U15 national team prodigy, Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen, has taken a major leap toward fulfilling his dream of playing professional football abroad after departing for the United Kingdom under the management of Buruj Sports Academy.
The gifted midfielder, popularly known as Raheem, has emerged as one of the brightest products of Buruj FC, renowned for his technical intelligence, composure, and flair on the ball.
His latest move represents a defining moment in his young career as he looks to emulate his football idols at Barcelona and Manchester City — clubs he admires for their possession-based, attacking philosophy inspired by Pep Guardiola.
At just 15, Raheem has already made history as the youngest player to feature in the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO). His consistent performances and tactical maturity also earned him a call-up to Nigeria’s Future Eagles (U15), with whom he represented the country at several international competitions, including the 2025 Youth Games in Annaba, Algeria.
Speaking on the development, Dr. Waheed Buruji, Founder and CEO of Buruj Sports Academy, described Raheem’s move as part of the academy’s broader plan to expand its global footprint and provide pathways for young Nigerian footballers.
“Yes, Raheem has joined the list of Buruj FC players who have moved abroad to continue their football development,” Dr. Buruji said.
“We’ve signed new collaborations with top agents from Spain, the UK, and Gibraltar, and more are underway.”
“These partnerships will make it easier for our players to access international opportunities and world-class training facilities.”
He further revealed that the academy is preparing for more overseas transfers during the upcoming winter window, opening doors for both current and prospective students to advance their football careers.
Located in Lagos, Buruj Sports Academy combines quality education with elite football training through its Play and Study programme — a model designed to help young talents balance academic excellence with professional football careers.
