5 Notorious Trans-Boarder Robbers Arrested With AK47, 60 Live Bullets

The operatives of the Police Intelligence Response Team,IRT, led by DCP Abba Kyari, have smashed five notorious trans-boarder armed robbers who specialised in snatching of cars at Nigeria/Benin Republic boarder and selling the cars in Benin Republic.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects were arrested on 23rd June, 2018, with AK47 rifle hidden under the seat of their operational motorcycle close to the Nigerian boarder.
The suspects were Mr. Femi Adegbile, 29, From Ologuneru LGA Oyo State, John Ajayi, 41, native of Benin Republic, Ajayi Kamoru, 47, native of Benin Republic, Emil Goduo, 34, native of Benin Republic, Saheed Shosanya 27, native of Odeda LGA, Ogun State.
It was gathered that their arrest followed several complaints of car snatching within Lagos and Ogun boarders shared with Benin Republic. Subsequently, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris, directed the Special IRT team to the boarder to arrest the armed robbers.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered after two weeks of intensive surveillance, the suspects operating on motorcycle in an
absolute disguise were unmasked and arrested by the IRT operatives at the boarder. A blue motorcycle with their operational Ak47 rifle hidden under the seat and two magazines fully loaded with 60 rounds of live ammunition were also recovered.
Police sources said that the suspects have confessed to multiple car snatching and many armed robbery operations along the Nigeria/Benin boarder while disguising as normal Okada riders. It was also learnt that they gave useful information on their other members as the police sources said that serious efforts were being made to arrest the remaining gang members now at large.
