Computer Village Business Icons Out Soon
A new book titled ‘Computer Village Business Icons’ will be unveiled in few months. The book project is being powered by Glorygate Communications Network, a strategic communication company, is aimed at projecting and showcasing individuals and corporate organisations doing businesses in Africa’s largest ICT market.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the book will be a compendium of the ‘Who is Who’ in Computer Village and is expected to help project the market for international reckoning. It will be distributed to Embassies/High Commissions, foreign and local trade missions, government agencies, corporate organisations and libraries. The publication will also be made available online hence can be accessible worldwide.
In a chat with P.M.EXPRESS, the Managing Partner of Glorygate Communications Network, Mr. Olisemeka Obi, he said that the publication became necessary to chronicle individuals and brands that had contributed immensely to the growth and development of the largest ICT market in Africa. He said that the publication also seeks to profile credible individuals so that foreign investors, manufacturers, suppliers, agencies at home and abroad can easily check out their partners or would be partners for ease of transactions, connections and trust. He added that the two major business associations in Computer Village, Computer & Allied Products Dealers’ Association of Nigeria (CAPDAN) and Phones & Allied Products Dealers’ Association (PAPDA) have bought into the project and pledged their support.
Speaking to P.M.EXPRESS the President of CAPDAN, Niyi Ojikutu expressed delight that such a project is about to see the light of the day.
“Till now the story of Computer village has not been told thereby making the people to have a wrong notion about Computer Village”, he said
On his own part, the PAPDA President, Mr Iyke Nwosu commended the project because it will open doors for the more businesses in the market. “People need to know the opportunities in the market as well as the economic contributions of Computer Village not just to Lagos State but also to Nigeria”, he said.
