Gospel Singers, Lawrence De-Covenant Win Ambassador For Christ Award

The Gospel music group, Lawrence & De-Covenant have won the Ambassador for Christ award.

The group won the award in June at the award ceremony organised by a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Lagos, Nigeria.

In a chat, Lawrence, leader of the group, said it was a wonderful feeling to be so honoured and their experience at the event had added more new ideas into their concept of music.

The band also had an outstanding performance at the just concluded Africa For Christ concert held in Accra Township Stadium, Ghana.

Addressing the media at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on arrival of the group into the country from the concert, Lawrence said: “It was a good outing for me and the band. I wish this could be happening every time. We were welcomed like stars from out of our shores.”

According to him, millions of souls where converted for Christ and healing of the sick by the inspiration of the holy spirit using the Lawrence and De-covenant.

The Africa for Christ praise concert in Ghana packaged by the Little Saint Home, a non-governmental organization whose sole aim is to provide for the less privileged in the society and providing homes for the abandoned children in the country.

It also bestow the Humanitarian Award to worthy individuals and group in recognition of their great works done on the continent of Africa, showing great leadership qualities and characteristics for the next generation to emulate for mentorship.

At the Lagos award ceremony where the band also performed, many renowned gospel artists shared the stage with the band.

“It was an evening in the presence of the almighty God full of praise and open heaven,” he said.
