Lady Caught After Stealing Bag At Lagos Night Club

A 29-year old lady, Mary Johnson has landed in prison after she allegedly stole a lady’s hand bag containing condoms which she mistakenly thought was money at a night club.

She was charged before a Lagos court and was remanded in prison custody.
The incident happened at Diamond Club located at Allen Avenue in Ikeja, Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the victim Florence Ahokpa kept her hand bag and was engaged in discussion with an undisclosed person when the suspect reportedly went and carried her bag. After the discussion, she came back to carry her bag but discovered that her bag was missing.
She raised alarm immediately, by which time the suspect was hurriedly attempting to leave the club house with the bag.
The club security men on duty however apprehended her, the bag was recovered from her and handed over to the owner.

 It was eventually discovered that the stolen bag contained condoms which the owner probably needed that night, her Infinix android phones and other personal effects.

She was handed over to the police for prosecution. When she was arraigned at the Ikeja Magistrates court, she pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A,O. Layinka granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 18th of August 2017.
