The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), attended the One-Day Orientation Retreat for Local Government Chairmen on the Lagos State Social Health Insurance Programme (ILERA EKO), held at Lagos Continental Hotel.

The retreat, organized by the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), had all Local Government and LCDA Chairmen in Lagos State in attendance. The session focused on strengthening the implementation of ILERA EKO and expanding access to affordable healthcare at the grassroots.

Comrade Dauda reaffirmed Ikeja’s commitment to supporting initiatives that improve the wellbeing of residents. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in driving universal health coverage across communities.

The programme aligns with the third pillar of the I.K.E.J.A Agenda; Environmental and Health Care Initiatives; a key component of the AKOD administration’s blueprint aimed at building a healthier and more sustainable Ikeja.
