Man Arrested For Abducting A Boy From Home

A 26-year old man, one Daniel Adeyemi, has been arrested for allegedly abducting a boy during an operation in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the alleged incident took place at 10 Odopele Orimolade Street, Ifako Ijaiye area of Lagos.

It was gathered that Adeyemi went to the house and abducted one Demilade Adewale, son of one Mr. Kayode and escaped.
The police did not state the age of the boy or the purpose behind Adeyemi’s action.

However, it was gathered that the victim was abducted from the house and taken to an unknown place thereby depriving the boy’s parents of his custody.
The incident was reported to the police at Pen Cinema Division in Agege area who moved into action. The abduction of the missing boy was traced to Adeyemi and he was arrested. He was later charged before the Ogba Magistrates court for the alleged offence.
He pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Inspector Christopher John, did not oppose his bail but asked the court for a date for trial to enable him prove the case.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect the bail condition.  The matter was adjourned till 30th October, 2018, for mention.
