How Notorious Blackmailer Spartacus Was Arrested

Facts have emerged on how a 28-year old notorious blackmailer and suspected armed bandit, Abdulsalam Wasiu, popularly known as Spartacus, was tracked and arrested by the police in his hideout in Ogun State.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Spartacus was traced to his hideout by police detectives and brought back to Lagos after he posted a fake video clip to blackmail a popular hotel known as New Planet located at Ajangbadi in Ojo area of Lagos.

He was said to have posted the clips, discovered that the police were after him and he then relocated to Ogun State. However, he could not hide for a much longer period before he was arrested. He reportedly confessed that the incident did not happen in the hotel claiming that it was the devil that pushed him to do so.

During interrogation, the police also discovered that he was a member of a cult group and had been involved in armed robbery in the past.
Spartacus was charged before the Magistrate Court sitting in Badagry, Lagos and remanded in prison custody pending the formalization of his bail process.

The police alleged in the charge sheet dated Monday, 29th April, 2019, marked as MB/1/28/2019, signed by DSP Lateef  Sanusi, on a two count charge bordering on defamation, conduct likely to cause breach of public peace by publishing false information on the social media, as well as belonging to an unlawful society known as Eiye.      The Investigating Police Officer from Ilemba Hausa Police Division, Sergeant Kenneth Odep, indicated that the offences were committed on April 15, 2019, at Aka Road, Ajangbadi, Ojo,Lagos State, where the hotel was located.

Spartacus had posted a video of a girl inside a gutter on Facebook against New planet Hotel with the caption “This girl just got mad this moment at Aka Road. The girl just came outside from New Planet Hotel shouting New Planet Yahoo boys have used her”.
Spartacus was thereafter remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition. The matter was adjourned till May 25, 2019.
