Nollywood sensation Rita Dominic is a siren on and off screen. This very single lady wows everyone with her charm and unfortunately a married medical doctor, Olusola Daniels pitifully fell for her charm and was in for it.

Of course, this was in a new film, Desecration set for premiere and cinema release in Nigeria from Friday 21 April.

Rita alongside Joseph Benjamin lead the cast in this upcoming blockbuster and a star-studded cinematic thriller.

Desecration tells the story of married Dr Daniels (Joseph Benjamin) who meets and falls in lust with beautiful Linda Bruce (Rita).

The story follows a casual extramarital affair that soon becomes a living nightmare for Dr. Daniels who quickly discovers that his free-spirited conquest, Linda wants more and would go to great lengths to achieve it.

He, who was caught in between a beautiful woman and his family, must now find a way to make her disappear before her obsessive nature destroys his family.

Set and shot in London, UK, the film also stars Nollywood star Rykardo Agboh, alongside UK-based actors of both Nigerian and British backgrounds, such as popular British TV actress, Nicola Alexis (currently starring in Harry Porter musical), Max Cavenham, Moji Bamtefa and talented eight-year-old Angel Agala.

Desecration was produced by Bode Odetoye of Kherut Films, helming the flick as the director is multiple award winner, Niyi Towolawi of HekCentrik Films.

Incidentally, for the director who is London based, Desecration is his first feature film set in London, his previous three films were shot in the United States and Nigeria.

Odetoye, the producer speaks on the project, “We put a lot of effort into this project and it’s finally great to see this movie coming out. I want the audience to appreciate the efforts of the cast and crew, especially Rita Dominic and my erudite director, Niyi Towolawi. He has been a top filmmaker for over 12 years and displays his complete mastery of his craft on Desecration.”

In his comment, Towolawi said, “I believe the Nigerian audience will love this film. I hope they find it as rewarding as it was to work on it, with such talent, and a producer that allowed me so much space to put my signature as an auteur on the film”.

Already premiered in London to a full house of ecstatic movie goers and celebrities, including a special performance by “Send Down The Rain” legend, Majek Fashek, late last year, Desecration will be distributed by Genesis Cinemas.
