2 Brothers At War Over Mysterious Death Of Younger Brother, Ichie Anayo Ezeibekwe In Umuchu

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the fight is between Chief Alex Ezeibekwe a.k.a Eze Ugwumba of Umuchu town and his younger brother, Ambassador Uchenna Ezeibekwe ,and has lingered for years but worsened following the death of Ichie Anayo popularly known in the cabinet of Igwe Umuchu.

The matter, which started from the family to their kindred, has now moved to Zone 13 Police Headquarters in Ukpo, Anambra State and may likely move to the Force Headquarters in FCT, Abuja and the Courts.

Trouble started in the family years ago, when their late father gave a parcel of land to Ambassador Uchenna and late  Ichie Anayo to build in the village few metres from the family house, which by tradition belongs to Ugwumba as the first son.

The decision by their late father did not go down well with Ugwumba and for the past 35 years, there has been a battle between Ugwumba and his two younger brothers, Uchenna and Late Anayo.

According to Uchenna, Anayo’s two children died in a mysterious circumstance and thereafter Anayo died as well in a suspicious manner after Ugwumba initiated to make peace with Anayo at the Igwe Umuchu’s cabinet.

After the peace initiative, Ichie Anayo died and Ugwumba hurriedly presented another person to be installed as Ichie to replace Anayo, who was still in the mortuary.

He was also said to have bought two cows to celebrate his death before the burial slated for 10th January,2025, as announced by the family.

His actions angered Uchenna and other members of the family, which prompted Uchenna to remind him of what transpired between Anayo and Ugwumba in their kindred’s WhatsApp group.

He said, “It is on record that our younger brother, Anayo, removed his sandals in our kindred meeting and pointed his right hand at you the vampire, blood sucker and killer. And boldly told you publicly that you killed his two children, that he had gone to places and did all kinds of spiritual consultations and they said you were the person that killed his two children.”

” If you say it is a lie, come out from your chair, stand and remove your sandals and swear that you did not kill the two children”

“It is on record in our kindred minutes book that you vehemently refused to come out to swear just an ordinary Oath and free yourself from the accusations. But you refused to come out because you know very well that you indeed killed our younger brother’s two children because you kept silent.”

“It is on recorded messages that I warned our younger brother and advised him to stay very far away from you when you initiated and invited him for the Kangaroo peace meeting after 35 years. You took our younger brother, Anayo, as your number one enemy. You made all kinds of life threatening moves against him, his family and business. You told him that all his children including him will die because of the land our father gave to him.”

“Now, you are very happy shooting guns in the air every night for the past two weeks celebrating his death and asking loudly, where is Anayo?…You’ve committed sacrilege, abomination and atrocity as you have bought two cows and kept ready to kill to celebrate your killing of our younger brother when he is yet to be given proper burial. It will never be well with you and your followers.”

It was reported that during the burial,  Chief Alex Ezeibekwe did not attend. Rather he allegedly sent a team of Police officers to disrupt the burial and arrest Uchenna so that the burial will not continue.

In the invitation letter sighted by P.M.EXPRESS, it stated : “Threat to life and defamation of character”. And Uchenna was summoned to come to the Police Headquarters despite the fact that the burial is still going on, which has attracted condemnation by the kindred and Amanasaa community. They described Chief Alex Ezeibekwe’s action as extreme wickedness as he fought his younger brother, late Ichie Anayo, even to the grave.

Efforts to contact Chief Alex Ezeibekwe proved abortive as his known phone number was switched off.
