Two men, Friday Emmanuel, 21 and Obiora Nwabueze, 29, have been arrested in Lagos for engaging in a public fight over stolen female pants.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects had an agreement over demand and supply of used female pants for certain amount of money. However, their agreement did not work out which led to them fighting publicly before the police intervened, arrested both of them and the secret was revealed.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana. He said that the operatives of Lagos State Police Command, Satellite Division, on Saturday April 20, 2019, arrested two male suspects who gave their names as Friday Emmanuel, 21 and Obiora Nwabueze, 29, under the bridge at Mile-2 area of Lagos while at each other’s throat.
Both suspects were said to have engaged each other in the fight following the failure of one of the parties to keep to the terms of their agreement regarding the stealing of used female pants.
According to one of the suspects, Friday Emmanuel, his partner, Obiora Nwabueze, tasked him to steal used female pants for a fee of thirty thousand Naira. After he had successfully accomplished the task, Obiora Nwabueze reneged on his promise and forcefully attempted to take the pants from him which led to exchange of blows.
During interrogation, the said Friday Emmanuel regretted listening to his friend, Obiora, who had pestered him to get used female pants he desperately needed in order to become rich.
Meanwhile, both suspects were yesterday charged before Magistrate Court – 23, at Mbah Road, Ajegunle, Lagos for conspiracy and stealing and were remanded in prison custody.
