2 Notorious Car Snatchers Arrested With Stolen Vehicle

Police Operatives in Lagos have arrested two notorious car snatchers and recovered a stolen vehicle stolen during their operations.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspects, Gideon Awuzie, 25 and Godspower Imafidion, 25, were arrested through credible intelligence after they stole a Honda car in Satellite Town and hid it somewhere in Ilogbo area before the Police busted the place and recovered the vehicle.

This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana who disclosed that the car snatchers were in Police net undergoing interrogation. He said that on 11th September, 2019, at about 2330hrs, acting on credible Intelligence, detectives from Ilemba Hausa Division in Ojo area of Lagos, arrested two suspected car snatchers: Gideon Amuzie ‘m’  25, and Godspower Imafidion ‘m’ 25, of Satellite Town, Lagos and recovered one black Honda Accord 2007 model, which they hid at Jemilugba Street, Ilogbo, Lagos.
He noted that the suspects specialised in snatching vehicles from the owners or stealing the vehicles from where they are parked.
DSP Elkana explained that the suspects confessed that they stole the vehicle at a car wash in Satellite Town, Lagos and the Police have commenced investigation into their activities, which will lead to the arrest of their other members at large. He said that the suspects will be charged to Court after the conclusion of investigations on the matter.
