2 Women Arraigned For Selling Hard Drugs To Criminals 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects were arrested at their shop in Aluminum Village, Dopemu, Agege area of Lagos.

Their arrest followed credible information about their activities over a period of time in the area, which led the Police to move in there, arrest the suspects and detained them at the Command for interrogation over their alleged conduct.

After thorough interrogation, the Police found them culpable for aiding and abetting crime by selling hard drugs to criminals for robbery operations. They were consequently charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.

The charges read:

“That you, ADESOLA ALIMOT “F”, TAWA ABIODUN “F” and others now at large, at Aluminum Village, Dopemu, Agege Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, on or before the 29th day of October, 2025, at about 2100hrs, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit: Harmful Act, Failure to Report Felony, and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

COUNT II:”That you, ADESOLA ALIMOT “F”, TAWA ABIODUN “F”, and others now at large on the same date time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did sell weed suspected to be Indian Hemp and other Ilicit drugs, thereby making the vicinity harmful to people living within the community and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 160 of the criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

COUNT III:”That you, ADESOLA ALIMOT “F”, TAWA, ABIODUN “F”, and others now at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did pervert the course of justice by deliberately aiding the hoodlums that converge at your shop in causing mayhem within the Dopemu Agege community and failing to give credible information that would lead to their apprehension to law enforcement agencies and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 98 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

However,  they pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Supol Philip Ademigbuji, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted them bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
