2019: Sanwo-Olu Moves To Reconcile Aggrieved Lagos APC Members

In order to win in next year’s general election, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos Chapter, Governorship Candidate, Mr Babajide Sanwo- Olu has said there is need for the aggrieved members of the party to come together and work for the progress of the party.

Sanwo- Olu said this while he was addressing the party faithful through phone call at the campaign office of Governor Ambode in Ikeja on Friday.

Though the APC candidate was expecting to address thousands of aggrieved APC members who were at the campaign office of Governor Ambode but due to several meetings he held with party leaders in Lagos, the APC candidate could not meet up, but he was able to speak with the members through phone call.

In his telephone chat, Sanwo- Olu apologized for not coming to the gathering due to series of meetings he had been having on that day. He said time has come for the members to work together as one no matter the differences in the party. He said he is aware that some members are aggrieved with the way things are going on in the party, adding that effort is being made to ensure that all the differences are sorted out very soon.

“Let me first and foremost aplogise for not making it to the meeting with you (members). I personally called the meeting to resolve differences among our members. I want to appeal to all the members to come together and work for the total victory for the party in the 2019 general polls. I am using this opportunity to appeal to our members not to dump APC for another party because we have started well and let finish well. I would find another time next week to reschedule this meeting so that we can resolve the issue amicably, thanks for your patience and support for the party,” said Sanwo- Olu who assured total victory for APC in next year’s elections

Meanwhile, Sanwo –Olu has stressed the need for various campaign groups of the three senatorial districts to embark on reconciliatory moves of all aggrieved members so that APC could have total victory for its candidates in the 2019 general polls.

Sanwo-Olu gave the task while addressing Executives of Lagos West Senatorial District of the Buhari/Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Group, ICG, led by former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Lagos chapter, Moshood Salvador and other stakeholders, held at the campaign secretariat, Maryland, Onigbogbo Local Council Development Area, LCDA of the state.

Sanwo-Olu noted that there is need for reconciliation of all aggrieved members so that the party would come out victorious comes 2019. Sanwo noted that any victory recorded in 2019 would not be for him alone, but all members of the party, adding that that he had extended an olive branch to everyone who felt cheated or shortchanged, so that they would work as a team and build a formidable party that would be victorious at the polls.
