2023: Bode George Wants Bauchi Governor Mohammed To Contest For President Under PDP

Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Olabode George, has vowed to support the presidential ambition of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State if he agreed to join the presidential race come 2023.

He made the statement at the weekend when the group, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed Vision (BAM-V) paid him a courtesy visit at his residence in Lagos.

Chief Bode George who described Senator Mohammed as a friend of all with a wide political network across the country, promised to push for the actualization of Gov. Mohammed’s ambition to become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“He is one Nigerian that has the qualities to lead the country to the promised land. He has all what it takes to be the President of the country if we all can support him,” said George.

According to him the agitation of the zoning of the presidency by South West will not be an issue if Senator Bala decides to run for the presidency. He thanked the group (BAM-V) for their courage and steadfastness and urged the members to keep up the tempo.

He went down memory lane on how and when his relationship with Senator Mohammed started, and concluded that PDP have no better candidate than Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, as he spoke about the oneness of the party to avoid the internal wrangling that will cause disunity in the party especially as the congresses and convention of the party is around the corner.

“PDP as a Party is shrinking, but I believe with the capacity of the Governors we have and their development strides, especially Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, I have no doubt that the party and the country will be fixed for the betterment of Nigerians,” he said.

Earlier in his address, the leader of the delegation and the Director-General of the BAM-V group, Hon. Mohammed Jibo said the visit and solicitation for Chief George’s support was based on his vast and wealth of experience in politics not only in the South West but in Nigeria as a whole.

“We are very proud of your vast experience in Nigerian politics and the fact that you are a force to reckon with. We respect you sir and we solicit for your support in actualization of our dream,” said Jibo.
