In view of 2023 and with the conclusion of party primaries, many political platforms across the nation will have most of their candidates vying for one political position or another. Grassroots campaign, lobbying, town hall cum stakeholders’ meetings, review and presentation of scorecards and performance are underway.

The noteworthy features of representation of the Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) is visible across the 58 communities of the seven local governments that constitute the Anambra Central Senatorial District.

Her legislative activities in the 9th Assembly recorded 29 Bills and 13 motions and still counting… Let us recall that it was the Amazon that called for the Inclusion of South East on the Nigerian Communications Board (NCC) and the result of that addressed concern had a South Easterner appointed as one of the members of the NCC Board.

The charismatic Legislator who had charged government to prioritize infrastructural development sets the standard through her numerous road interventions, housing projects, installation of solar energy/electrification, series of free medical outreach, community development, training and empowerment (Employment and Intervention Funds).

Many if not virtually all the incumbent members of the National Assembly are seeking for re-election bid. However, their antecedents by previous and present representation would be assessed, commended and possibly anticipate landslide victory for another four (4) years in view. Those who couldn’t fit in well by way of capability and performance will be ousted by the strength of the constituents via their PVC.

It is important to acknowledge that Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) is a ranking Senator and her re-election will bring myriads of possibilities as well as earn us either having her as the presiding officer of the senate or a principal officer in the next length of term. The reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more work.

Iyom is our choice for consolidation at the Senate for Anambra Central 2023.
