2023 Will Surely Be An Interesting Political Year

Posted on January 16, 2022

Will VP Osinbajo, who is the favourite of some quarters, summon the courage to go head to head with his former boss Tinubu?

Interestingly, Yemi seems to be on the lighter side of political baggage while Asiwaju is on the heavier side owing to his many years of political activities. In politics, the longer you stay in the scene the higher your baggage.

Tinubu as much as some Nigerians hate him has carefully prepared for this moment and I’m sure that at this point only God and Nigerians can stop him. Even Yemi knows this, and I doubt if he will dare to compete.

That said, APC will be the underdog in the election if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can be able to put their house in order. Nigerians are suffering and they can only point accusing fingers on the ruling party – APC. We can only wait and see how this unfolds.

On the local scene, the supposedly IPAC endorsed Victor Umeh has taken to the table tennis court to build some fitness ahead of his supposed 2023 Senatorial ambition, this is as reported by my good friend and colleague, Charles Ifeanyi Obi.

Interestingly Umeh will be seeking to match up with the Amazon, Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife, PhD, for the 3rd time. However, he will be hoping for his first victory at the polls having failed at the two previous attempts.

It is indeed an uphill task for the Aguluzigbo-born politician and I, Kingsley Ubani and other supporters of the grassroots-friendly Senator are here to make it even tougher through our contributions on this space and elsewhere.

Senator Ekwunife has performed beyond imagination. It is therefore advisable for Ibobo to seek for relevance elsewhere and I hope he does. Peradventure he doesn’t, we will all go to the field and do the necessary works that will see him sink for the third time.

My name is Kingsley Ubani and I just returned from a worthwhile honeymoon. Marriage sweet sha!
