Police operatives from the Isheri Oshun Division of the Lagos State Command have arrested three suspected kidnappers for allegedly engaging the services of unknown soldiers and kidnapping a popular hotel manager, Wale Adeyemi, in order to obtain ransom from his boss.

P. M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the popular Light House Hotel located at Isheri Oshun area of Lagos, where they stormed with the soldiers in commando style.

The suspects, Wisdom Nwaeze, 27, Okechukwu Francis, 26 and Henry Felix, were arrested following the Police intelligence linking them over the abduction in the hotel with the unknown soldiers now at large.

The Police alleged that the suspects went to the hotel with the soldiers, scattered some properties, attacked, intimidated and then abducted the manager, Adeyemi and took him to Navy Town around FESTAC area of Lagos for ransom.

The Police however, did not state how much ransom they obtained before the manager was released but arrested the suspects behind the act and subsequently charged them before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for conspiracy, abduction and attempted murder.

When they were arraigned, they pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, did not object to their being granted bail but requested for a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A. S. Okubule, granted them bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

They were however, remanded in custody at the Kirikiri Correction Center pending when they will perfect their bail conditions while the matter was adjourned till 23rd March, 2022, for mention.
