In a congratulatory message on Sunday, August 23, 2026, Babawale described the appointment as a recognition of Hon. Akinola’s commitment, political sagacity and capacity to mobilise people at the grassroots.

Babawale said the new role is a fitting recognition of Hon. Akinola’s years of service and dedication to the party.

“I warmly felicitate with my dear brother, boss and friend, Hon. It is, indeed, a fitting recognition of a man whose political footprints continue to resonate with uncommon dedication and purposeful engagement,” he stated.

The 3TI Convener noted that grassroots mobilisation remains central to building enduring political structures, and expressed confidence in Hon. Akinola’s ability to deliver.

“As you assume this onerous responsibility, I am confident that your characteristic diligence, intellectual resourcefulness, loyalty and capacity for strategic coordination will come to the fore. The assignment demands not merely enthusiasm, but tact, resilience, persuasive communication, coalition-building and an exceptional understanding of the intricate sociology of political mobilisation. These are qualities you have consistently demonstrated, and I am persuaded that you will deploy them with distinction in advancing the objectives of the Campaign Council,” he added.

He prayed for success in Hon. Akinola’s new role and described the appointment as both an honour and a call to greater service.

“This appointment is, therefore, both an honour and a call to greater service. May you rise magnificently to the occasion, transcend every challenge that may accompany this responsibility, and leave an indelible imprint on the mobilisation architecture entrusted to your stewardship.
