Four suspected robbers operating with the Nigeria Military uniform have been arrested while robbing victims of their valuables at the Synagogue Church of All Nations during a church service in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects,  Ibrahim Ismail, 25, Adeniji Femi, 47, Kehinde Fagbenro, 22, Odoko Godspower, 46, were arrested at the Synagogue church in Ikotun after they robbed one of the victims, Ogunbiyi Olalekan of his iPhone 12 promax worth N1.2m.
The robbers ran out of luck while they tried to escape as Police operatives from the Commissioner of Police Tactical team led by Banti Adamu apprehended the suspects including one of them Ibrahim Ismail putting on Nigerian Army Camouflage uniform during the operation.  Other suspected members of the gang were said to have managed to escape and are now at large.
However, the Police did not disclose if they recovered any arms as exhibits aside the Nigerian Military uniforms which they admitted to have used for the operation despite the fact that none of them was engaged in Nigerian Military.
The Police found them culpable and charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for conspiracy, robbery and impersonation under the Criminal Law of the State.
The charges read:

However, the Court did not take their plea after the prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the seriousness of the alleged offence.
The Court ordered their remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
