Police Sustain Patrol To Maintain Peace In Lagos

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Zubairu Mua’zu, has ordered the officers to sustain patrols and surveillance across the state in order to maintain law and order.
This was due to the postponement of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections by INEC.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that this was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, on behalf of the Lagos State Commissioner of the Police.
It was learnt that the directives was given following the tension the postponement had generated to forestall any breach of peace in the state.
CSP Oti explained that the Command has intensified patrols in all the streets of Lagos to ensure the safety of the good people of the state.
He said that the Commissioner of Police, CP Zubairu Muazu mni, has therefore, called on residents to go about their lawful duties without any fear. He said that the Command wished to thank the people of Lagos State for maintaining the peace and urged them to keep availing the Command, credible and timely information to enable it sustain the peace currently enjoyed in the state.
The command used the opportunity to warn hoodlums, persons with criminal intent that the Command will not entertain any act capable of breaching the peace of the state.
He released some telephone numbers the citizens can reach out to the Police in case of the unexpected.

Meanwhile, the state have been peaceful and there has not been any reports of violence or breach of public peace in any part of the State.
However, the police was said not to create any chances of allowing the hoodlums to cause violence and use the opportunity to breach public peace.
