Organisers Hail Teams’ Discipline At Medview Airlines Cup

The organizers of the ongoing Med- View Airlines Football Competition have expressed satisfaction that this year’s edition is better organized and participating teams have lived up to expectations in their respective groups.
The competition, which is taking place at White Sand playground, Orile, Lagos is being sponsored by the Chairman of Mid-View Airlines, Alhaji Muneer Bankole
Match coordinator, Taofeek Ajibola said the ongoing Med- view Airline Cup has lived up to expectations, noting that all the matches played so far are watched by appreciable crowd.
Ajibola said this year’s edition witnessed more goals and players have been displaying their skills to the admiration of their fans. He also commended the participating teams for displaying a high level of discipline throughout the group stage of the competition.
“We the organizers are impressed with the quality of teams taking part in this year’s edition. We saw beautiful goals from various teams and the officiating was quite good. So far so good there is no violence during and after the game and I wish the remaining teams in the competition the best of luck in their outings,” he said.
In the quarter final matches scheduled for Thursday, Flaying stars face Ultimate FC, Super Soccer battle Adeomo FC, Fela Babes confront Puma FC, while About Babes tackle Higlanders FC
Meanwhile Sponsor of the competition, Alhaji Muneer Bankole said he is sponsoring the competition because of the passion he has for the round leather game. He said he would use the competition to assist talented players to find means of livelihood.
According to him, some talents are on the streets of Lagos, but with this competition, they would be discovered for them to make a living from football.
“Through this competition, we have awarded scholarships, rehabilitated schools and lifted many lives to become something useful and we shall continue to assist the youth in this country to strive for excellence,” he said.
