5 Men Gang Rape Girl, 18

The police at Isokoko Division have intensified efforts to arrest five men who allegedly gang raped an 18-year old girl and in the process injured her in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the alleged rape took place at Abule Street in Agbelekale area of Meiran, Lagos where both the victim and the suspects resided.

It was gathered that the victim suffered her fate after she resisted the suspects passes on her over a period and she became their common enemy in the area. She was said to have been lured into the room apartment owned by one of the suspects where she met the whole suspects who ambushed and raped her one after the other.

They threatened her not to raise alarm otherwise they will kill her inside the room and throw her away without anybody knowing what happened. She was then forced to remove her clothes including her pant. Then naked, they pushed her to the bed where they engaged her in forceful marathon sex in turns. Thereafter, they allowed her to go but by then she had suffered injuries in her private part due to the forceful penetration.

The matter was reported to the police and she was then taken to an undisclosed hospital where she was being treated.

P.M.EXPRESS confirmed that one of the suspects, Jamiu Kazeem has been arrested. The four other suspects were said to be at large and the police said they were determined to arrest and prosecute them for the alleged offence.

Meanwhile, Kazeem was charged before Ogba Magistrates Court for conspiracy and rape.

He pleaded guilty before the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter E. Nwaka. He was granted bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum. The prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John did not object to his bail.
Kazeem was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect the bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 5 May, 2018.
