Aggrieved Stakeholders Can Now Submit Petitions – Says Enugu APC Congress Appeal Committee
MICHAEL AKINOLA
The All Progressives Congress (APC) State Congress Appeal Committee for Enugu State has called on persons with grievances as a result of the recent State Congresses held in Enugu to submit their petitions to the committee.
The Committee, which is headed by Hon. Ben Mikko, with Babangida Ajimi as Secretary, made the announcement today in Enugu. Other members of the Committee include Mariyam Kolo, Friday Michael and Nwodo Emmanuel.
Hon. Ben Mikko, who hails from Rivers State, stated that the Appeal Committee would consider all appeals brought before it concerning the conduct of the State Congress, which was held on the 16th October, 2021.
He also noted that the Congress Appeal Committee for Enugu would also convene a special meeting with stakeholders at the end of the exercise in a bid to resolve whatever grievances that may have arisen in the conduct of the Party’s Congress.
Hon. Mikko also stated that the meeting would have in attendance all stakeholders of the APC and none would be excluded as the unity of the party was first and foremost the desire of all party members.
It would be recalled that the Enugu State APC Congress had produced a former Commissioner, Ugochukwu Agballah, as winner and Chairman of the Enugu State Chapter of the APC, with a resounding majority of 684 to 4 votes from his closest rival. Other positions within the State Working Committee were arrived at through consensus.
