Gov Obiano Commissions Another Modern Hostel At GTC, Umuchu

The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Sir Willie Obiano, on 3rd February, 2022, commissioned yet another 750 bed capacity modern hostel at Government Technical College, Umuchu, Aguata Local Government Area of the state.

While commissioning the hostel, Governor Obiano called for more Public-Private Partnership, which he said would help change the education sector. 

He stated that he was impressed that the workers who did the hostel building and the perimeter fence were all students of the school, giving good testimonies to the achievements his administration gained in technical education sector.

The Commissioner for Basic Education, Prof Kate Omenugha, Chief Samuel Ezekwo, Members representing Aguata 1and 2 constituency, Hon. Carter Dike and Hon. Okechukwu Okoye, were among the dignitaries that graced the occasion.

The hostel has modern toilets, solar powered electricity, borehole with 10000 litres overhead tank amongst other features.
