We’ll Give Full Support To People-Oriented Programmes—Osinbajo

Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has promised that the Federal Government would give full support to people-oriented programmes.
He made the promise Thursday at the palace of the Obong of Calabar, HRM Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu the 5th.
Professor Osinbajo, who is on official visit to Cross River State also called for peace and unity among ethnic groups in the country, adding that every part of Nigeria was important to the Federal Government.
The Acting President, who was accompanied by his host, Governor Ben Ayade, to the Calabar monarch’s palace, was bestowed with the traditional title of Ada Idagha Efik Ebrutu by the monarch.
From the palace, the Acting President also performed the ground breaking ceremony of the Cross River State Industrial Park located on the Goodluck Jonathan bypass.
While performing the ceremony, he said the park would be one of the major industrial hubs in Africa.
He said he was honoured to have been invited to perform the ground breaking ceremony and commended Governor Ayade for the initiative.
He also commissioned the Garment Factory, one of the signature projects of the Governor Ayade administration.
He is expected to take part in a town hall meeting later in the day at the Calabar International Convention Centre.
Professor Osinbajo was on the last leg of his visit to the south-south states.
