Posted on October 23, 2022
Buruj Football Club/Academy CEO, Dr. Salaudeen Waheed Buruj, has taken a bold step in his search for a foreign coach as he linked up with Mr. Hamid Shariff, Mr. Tammy Tariah and Mr. Ibekwe Joseph, Representatives of Regional Sports UAE, on their short business visit to Nigeria.

One of the representatives, Mr. Hamid, commented on the viable structure of Buruj Sports Academy stating that most Nigerian players at the grassroots level need more of the basic technics and tactics of football to further enhance the intensity of impact in their game.
Speaking further he said that the initiative of having a football coach is not an easy route to thread as it is capital intensive. But for a team like Buruj to come up with such a plan shows the high level standard and prospect the academy/ club has attained coupled with their international reputation.
Modalities are already in place and discussions are ongoing on the type of coach, the required qualifications, scope of work and other areas of impact.
According to CEO of Buruj Football Club/Academy, “I want the best for my players and I can go extra mile to get them that coaching experience they need to match up with world class football while also improving their game. I need a coach, who can emulate Pep Guardiola in term of expertise traits”.
“I’m happy that my players are on their road map to greatness with the skills and level of proficiency they apply in their matches. So, having a foreign coach will bring out their best and also keep them informed of the dos and don’ts required when going for trials.
