Plans by members of the cabals within the Igbo circle led by Chief Sunday Ossai, Eze Uche Dimgba, Chief Oliver Akubueze and others to remove the Ohanaeze Ndigbo President, Lagos State, Chief Solomon Aguene, has failed over alleged plans to bribe a High Court Judge over the Court judgment, which was in favour of Chief Aguene.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the desperation to remove Chief Aguene was intensified by the group having failed to convince the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, not to recognize Aguene as the President during the reconciliation meeting held at Marina, Lagos, where they eventually resorted to do so in a crude manner.
The latest moves after that devastating blow to the group recently was their visit to the factional President of Ohanaeze worldwide, Professor George Obiozor, where they induced him to call the Governor to ask Aguene to step down but it failed again.
This was disclosed by the Chief of Staff to Ohanaeze Ndigbo President, Chief Chinenyeze Thompson Ohia, who revealed that the group went to the factional President of Ohanaeze Worldwide, Professor Obiozor and offered him huge sums of money in order to contact the Lagos Governor.
However, they failed to tell Obiozor that the Governor was aware of the subsisting High Court Consent Judgment in favour of Aguene.
Chief Ohia stated that they wanted Obiozor to tell the Governor to recognize Chief Ossai as the new Ohanaeze President. Obiozor was said to have decided to do the dirty job because of his disagreement with Aguene over the decision to back APC in the forthcoming General election in 2023 as Obiozor is said to be slyly backing Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
He said that Obiozor actually called the Governor not knowing that the Governor was aware of the the Court Judgement, which was presented to him by Aguene’s lawyer and it became more difficult to convince otherwise as a strong believer in the rule of Law.
Chief Ohia narrated that when the move to use Obiozor failed, they moved to Alaba International Market and contacted Chief Azubuike Ekwerekwu, popularly known as Obosi and asked him to assist to contact the Lagos State Judge, who gave the subsisting judgment in favour of Aguene to induce her to vacate the judgment.
The group suffered another blow when Ekwerekwu discovered that all the while they did not appeal the judgment and the period of the appeal has since elapsed, and so he declined to assist them, which worsened their situation.
Chief Ohia wondered what their next actions will be and if they are going to resort to violence as they had threatened through Eze Dimgba to attack and cause violence in any of the Ohanaeze meetings in order to kidnap Chief Aguene.
The Court Judgement has become an albatross for the members of cabals within the Igbo circle as they initially ignored it while obtaining huge sums of money and promising Chief Ossai that they will remove Chief Aguene and make him the Ohanaeze President, which turned out to be a hoax.
All the money they obtained from both Ossai and his key sponsor, Don Chris, during the kangaroo election have been wasted including the promises made to Don Chris for Ossai to open a Microfinance Scheme for Ohanaeze members in order for him to recover the money, which is not forthcoming.
The situation got worsened after the group sent one woman from Ejigbo LCDA, identified as Nelly, to attack Aguene, which caused fracas during the reconciliation meeting before the security agent intervened.
It was out of frustration that Don Chris used his hand to hit the glass of Aguene’s Range Rover SUV,  sustained serious injury and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where he reportedly fainted and has not recovered from the incident.
Chief Ohia explained that Chief Solomon Aguene is God’s anointed and has the grace of God upon him, which was why all the evil plans plotted against him had failed and advised the members of cabals within the Igbo circle to retrace their steps from plotting and doing evil.
